How GenAI Reduced Our Operational Overhead by 90%

Fasient is a fashion company. Fashion companies produce enormous amounts of visual content — product photos, lookbook images, marketing materials, social media assets. Before I joined, this content was produced manually: photographers, stylists, post-production editors, a two-week pipeline from concept to final asset.

To quantify the old workflow: each product photoshoot required a photographer ($500/day), a stylist ($300/day), a studio rental ($200/day), and 3-5 days of post-production editing at $50/hour. A single product line with 20 pieces cost roughly $8,000 in content production alone. Multiply that by seasonal collections and the marketing calendar, and content production was consuming nearly 30% of the company's operating budget — a staggering figure for a mid-size fashion brand.
